The Spirit, global domination, doorknob, and cholesterol

What is up everyone?!

This week went by crazy fast, but I don´t know how because we do the same thing every day. We had a couple of fire devotionals on the spirit and it is crazy how much it influences your life once you are not distracted and are looking for it.

On Thursday I spent all day in Interpol and immigration. We had to wake up at 5 for Interpol and that sucked. Immigration was an adventure. We drove for an hour and a half-ish and we were still in Lima. The roads are insane. Some of the roads don't have lanes so it feels like Mario Kart. When you are at a stop light vendors go into the road and try to sell you stuff. But the most annoying part is that most of the time instead of stop signs, they have these huge speed bumps in the roads. I don't know how cars survive here haha. Immigration was whack. we sat for 3 hours down in a parking garage. I met this funny elder from Argentina. He worked for the UN down there. One of the elders has been teaching him some English but tyrannical stuff. It's all a joke, but he says that he is going to take over the US, Canada, and Mexico. I was made his financial minister because I look smart lol.

My Spanish is coming along slowly but well. We taught our first not terrible lesson yesterday. I blessed the sacrament in Spanish on Sunday and it went smoothly. I taught my Bolivian roommates how to play doorknob. So you could say that my Spanish is progressing lol.

Also I've decided that my roommate is the offspring of Dwight Schrute and Napoleon Dynamite. My influence is showing at the CCM because of my contribution to the meals. We get unlimited rolls at each meal but they aren´t always warm. I came up with the idea of putting a plate of four-ish rolls in the microwave with about 3 packets of butter. You microwave it for about 45 seconds or until the butter is straight liquid. It soaks into your rolls and it is so good! Lol But rip my blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Anyways, I now have 23 months left, so see you soon!

Love, Landon

Photos are of my district and I at the temple, a view of the CCM, and a picture with this guy I knew from Close Up. P.S. He is really tall so it makes me look short.
