A letter from Landon's mission president:
Dear Brother/Sister Corbett:
My wife and I are honored to have your son in the Peru Huancayo Mission. Thank you for supporting his far-reaching decision in the life to serve the Lord. Since his arrival to the mission on Tuesday, we have tried to get to know him more and more and offer him our help so that during the time of his missionary service he can enjoy the guidance of the spirit in his daily work and strengthen his confidence in God.
He has been assigned to be trained by Elder Arias, a good missionary chosen by the spirit of revelation to be the one who teaches and strengthens his learning in the first days of his mission. I will have interviews with him every six weeks to see his progress and support him in his needs. He has been assigned to work in the area called Mantaro in the city of Huancayo where we hope he can learn his first essential lessons.
We ask that through you weekly letters, you can include and encourage the principles of obedience and the continuous effort of overcoming trials through Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. Thank you again for your support. With much appreciation.
President and Sister Silva
